TUESDAY, AUGUST 9
Depart from SFO
AUGUST 10
Arrive in France. Pick-up at Toulouse Blagnac Airport and travel by bus to a hotel in Lourdes.
AUGUST 11
Guided tour of basilica and a private Mass at the grotto. Opportunity to bathe in the waters. If there's time, see where St. Bernadette lived. Candlelight procession at night.
AUGUST 12
Leave Lourdes and travel by bus to Barcelona. Tour of Sagrada Familia, the Barri Gotic (Gothic Quarter), the Cathedral of Santa Eulalia, and the City History Museum. Check-in at hotel and free for rest of the day.
AUGUST 13
Travel by bus to the Benedictine Abby of Santa Maria de Montserrat. Return to hotel in Barcelona.
AUGUST 14
Mass in the morning, then free day in Barcelona. You can visit the Picasso Museum, shop at Las Ramblas, or sip sangria at a cafe in the Placa Reial.
AUGUST 15
Leave Barcelona and travel by bus to Madrid. Along the way, we will visit the famous Poblet Monastery and continue to Zaragoza's the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Pillar. Check-in to hotel in Madrid and get our pilgrim packs. Rest of the day is free.
AUGUST 16
Tour of the Prado Museum in the morning and then Opening Mass in the evening.
AUGUST 17
Catechesis in the morning followed by the Youth Festival.
AUGUST 18
Catechesis in the morning. Welcoming of the Holy Father.
AUGUST 19
Catechesis in the morning. Via Crucis procession.
AUGUST 20
Vigil with the Holy Father.
AUGUST 21
Closing Mass.
AUGUST 22
Leave Madrid and depart by bus to Toledo. Guided city tour of Toledo. Continue to Sevilla. Check-in at hotel. Rest of the day is free.
AUGUST 23
Guided tour of the Cathedral, the Basilica of the Macarena, and the Alcazar. Free time for rest of the day. Last dinner together at a restaurant and see a flamenco show at Los Gallos.
AUGUST 24
Depart from the Sevilla Airport. Arrive at SFO.
